ACI National Home Performance Conference 2012
March 28-30
ACI (Affordable Comfort Inc.) invites participants to submit applications for its first ever poster contest at the 2012 ACI Home Performance Conference in Baltimore, MD on March 26-30.
Do you have an interesting project on energy efficiency? An innovative idea in program implementation? Poster sessions are an excellent forum for participants to showcase their work in an informal and interactive session or present research that may be still be in preliminary stages.
This year, ACI introduces its poster session in a contest format. Judges will evaluate posters and prizes will be awarded.
Presentations may highlight lessons learned, research results or progress of current projects. Posters share best practices, promote the use of new technologies, and advance the performance of new and existing buildings. Sales presentations on specific products or services will not be accepted.
Posters cover the same interest areas as the core conference and short courses; such as energy efficiency, sustainable design, program implementation and deep energy reduction.
Presenters are required to attend the scheduled interactive Poster Session, staying with their poster* to discuss their work with conference attendees.

Tuesday, March 27 - Set Up
- 2 PM - 5 PM
- Posters set up for viewing for start of core conference. Location to be determined.
Wednesday, March 28 - Presentations
- Presenters set up posters in Poster Avenue (Location to be determined)
- Presentations will begin at 5:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM during the exhibitor reception
- Judging will take place between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Thursday, March 29 - Viewing; Presentations Optional
- Prizes are awarded. Time and location to be determined.
- Posters remain in the exhibit hall for viewing
- Presenters are welcome to present their posters during the exhibitor/networking reception from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
- Tear Down - immediately following the tradeshow
*ACI will provide a 4x8 bulletin board/poster stand for each poster
Submission Process
- Poster proposals should consist of an abstract (250 words max)
- All proposals are to be submitted using the online submission form (below)
